Staffing Services Coordinator
JOB DESCRIPTION Coordinate overall field personnel job assignments
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate staffing schedule with clients staffing coordinator throughout the day and at least two hours prior to shift change.
- Notify all assigned personnel two hours prior to assignment
- Insure all field personnel are qualified to take on supplemental staffing assignment.
- Makes quality assurance "spot checks" on field staff
- Recruits, interviews, and selects for hire field personnel as designated by the Branch Manager.
- Reviews qualifications and job descriptions for employees rendering services to clients.
Coordinates in-service training and/or orientation to insure proper dissemination of information. Provides orientation to new personnel.
- Evaluates and reviews routinely the performance of employees specially during the initial probationary period of three months.
- Provides Manager with statistical data regarding daily shift volume, new hires and terminations.
- Maintain an accurate record of facility complaints and suggestions in an effort to improve existing policies, staffing procedures and hiring practices.
- Observe industry for current trends and pay/billing rates in order to maintain an advantage over the competition.
- Research and keep current potential new accounts listing.
- Insure personnel files are kept current and in compliance with existing Federal and State laws and statutes.
- Keep facility files updated with pertinent client information. Insure employee files are kept current and in compliance with existing OSHA/WISHA/JCAHO and Federal & State laws and statutes.
- Make certain that TSS data is current and updated daily.
- Contact night staffer on duty, pass on relevant information and transfer phones to main office number by 5pm Monday through Friday.
- Maintain a broad account base with emphasis of improvement of existing accounts.
- Focus attention of expansion of business prospects in the area of hospital and nursing homes.
- Initiate follow-up contact with prospective clients for presentation of our services
- Maintain an accurate record of facility complaints and suggestions in an effort to improve existing policies, staffing procedures and hiring practices.
- Monitor climate of current accounts or perception of clients about agency to insure that clients are satisfied with our service.
- Observe Agency industry for current trends and billing rates in order to maintain an advantage over the competition.
- Maintain current listing of competition, their key players and pertinent pay and billing rates. Monitor billing and pay rates of competition.
- Insure appropriate stocks of day to day operating materials are available.
- Enforce policies relating to disciplinary and probationary personnel actions.
- On paydays, dispense paychecks and insure proper notification of employees who must discuss administrative matters. Be sure that those paychecks which are mailed are done so in a timely manner.
- Assist in determining advisability of cessation of service to severely delinquent accounts.
- Keep current statistics of shifts filled and trends so that we may objectively project staff needs, financial projections and future growth.
- When so directed, implement and carry out special projects.
- When requested, assist in the operation of other office function that may need attention.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Manager.
Qualifications:
A. Minimum of two years experience in the medical profession
B. One year experience duty performed in Acute, Long Term and Extended Care Facilities.
C. Ability to effectively plan, organize and manage time.
D. Excellent verbal and communications skills.
E. Willingness to assist senior management in the practice of sound business management.
